Renault Confirms Production of All-Electric Twizy and Zoe Z.E.

Apparently, Nissan's partner Renault wasn't kidding when it said that it would go ahead and produce the four all-electric concept models that it displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Today, the French automaker not only (re)confirmed production of the futuristic looking Twizy Z.E. city car (for Zero Emission) and the funky Zoe Z.E. sporty supermini, but it also revealed the plants where the two cars will be built.

First up is the Twizy Z.E. based 1+1 seater that will be manufactured at Renault's Valladolid factory in Spain from 2011. Even though we find it hard to believe, it is said that the production version will remain extremely close to the concept model that is powered by an electric motor that makes 15kW (20HP) and 70Nm of torque and drives the rear wheels.

The Twizy will be followed in 2012 by a sporty, all-electric supermini dimly inspired by the Zoe Z.E concept car. It will be produced at the firm's Flins plant near Paris, France. Renault said that it expects that this urban model will account for two-thirds of the Group's EV sales in Europe.

The other two electric vehicles that Renault is planning to produce is the Fluence Z.E. compact sedan and the Kangoo Z.E. small van.

Earlier this week, a letter of intent was signed between the Renault-Nissan Alliance, the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) and the French Strategic Investment Fund (FSI) to form a joint venture company that would develop and manufacture batteries for the group's electric vehicles.

That is what we guys are! and i suppose that is what you woman are too! Go on watch the video and let me know what you think, or simply laugh out to what he says. Either way it might help make your day.

Mobile Phones. Whats what...

So there are plenty of mobile phones out the in the world and more in production like its a woman's stilettos. And me having this raya break and a revision leave went on a best buy/sell hunt for phones.. Get a phone for a really cheap price and sell it off for its current market price. Over these two weeks i have tried out the HTC Touch Diamond and the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1.

The first, its one sexy phone, slim with large screen and a sexy diamond-ish back. What the turn off was its sick battery life and terribly awfully hot radio. Well the radio was solved but the battery life just managed a 30% increase of battery life. Nth much to comment on the way it feel as im sure all who reads knows how the TouchFlo 3D feels. And it is what it is...

The latter, this is the powerhouse, powerful processor, great design, slide out qwerty, reasonable battery life and most of all its X-panel. Its a really cute thing to play with, with its goldfish panel, facebook and skype panels which sorta made life a tad easier. And forgetting as you keep using it, it feels like a super mini laptop.

What both these have in common is the OS. Windows Mobile 6.1 professional. So you have windows in your phone, that should be great! Well, it isn't unless you're a business man who needs to e-mail and check on shares all the time.

To us general people the best and ultimate is i'd say the nokia 5800 or recently the Nokia N97. Well why? Its a nokia, thats why. As just as im saying it, in my possession is a Nokia 5800 with me. A touchscreen, A Symbian OS, Great shortcuts and an uforgettable media experience. I got it in an intention to sell it eventually. But I now seem to have fell for the phone. Well time will tell. Till then...

P.S. This is a great money making hobby.. buy a phone you'd desire at a bargain price, use it and sell it and its market price. Its two birds in a stone. Earning for what ure using? What else would you want.. Go on try it.. Buy/Sell

Universiti Malaya Breeding Fanatics?

I just got this e-mail from a friend which contents a letter by the student council president of Universiti Malaya urging his fellows to stand up and have whats theirs. It comes to me as a shocker for such a university with its large history is allowing such fanatical act. It is such a disgrace to our nation, such an embarrassing allowance by a university with a worsening image.

This if the government, the police, the institution supporting the 1Malaysia claims itself not biased should take stern and immediate action. We shall demand action. This starting at such early times can grow to become a massive racial tension if not acted upon immediately.

Do something the government of Malaysia!!

Protest In Section 23 For Relocation Of Hindu Temple

As our 52nd Independence Day is fast approaching, several wonderful Bumis of Section 23, Shah Alam made ugly and humiliating protest to stop the relocation of a Hindu temple in Section 23. Clearly, is this called Unity? May they be addressed as Racists or Fanatics? Whats so wrong with a temple coming up in a Malay dominated area. If this was the case, how are Mosques still surviving in countries like India, China and Christianity dominated country? I have personally seen great understanding of religious tolerance in India and their people. Why can't these people be so? Why cant they grow civilized? I clearly dont think this is what the Quran teaches nor what prophet Muhammad had preached.

Manchester United 5 VS 0 Wigan Athletic

Fresh out of the match. What can i say. The devils have resurrected with a staggering 5 - 0 victory. Something none of us could have anticipated looking at their recent from. No photos are able to be provided as the match just ended minutes ago. Hopefully Sir Alex's boys has more banging into the opponent's goal mouth for the upcoming season.

And a special appreciation of current first goalkeeper Ben Foster for his wonderful performance. Also the comeback kid Micheal Owen for his signature goal.

Nissan R-TX Concept Study By Matt Jones

Imagine having a car, for the weekdays its a home to work roadster, but on the weekends with a little body modifications or shall we say undressing, that very car could be a track ready one with improved aerodynamics.

Well designer Matt Jones had just that in mind. Named with Nissan, the R-TX concept is on study at the 2009 Degree Show at the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea, UK.

The driver can remove the front, rear and side panels along with the windshield to transform it into a track type car, something similar to the KTM X-Bow. Well since its just a concept for now. Many would be hoping it be a reality someday and also it coming from Nissan, hopefully with a reasonable price tag too. Something the upper average Joe could get. Look at the bottom image for a better transformation illustration.

A Sugar-less World

For the second consecutive year, the world is seeing shortage of sugar. Price of a tonne of white sugar has rose up US$215 to US$544.20. Thats about 65% increase from its price in January. But why is this happening? At this time, a time where the fasting month is about to start followed by the Hari Raya. Lets take a look at whats happening globally.

Brazil the biggest producer of sugar is seeing its highest rate of rain fall to about four times its usual amount making the crops too wet to harvest. India the biggest consumer and second largest producer of sugar is seeing its driest season since 83 years. These has forced the country to double the import of sugar.

This demand has skyrocketed the expense of many food manufacturers, but increases the profits for cane producers. Sugar being such an important part of our diet is surely going to be still in demand. Until the nature recovers its condition, this shortage is going to be a burden to the rest of the world, even making the upcoming Raya a heavy pocketed one.

Which Party Is Karpal From?

Reading newspaper in the morning sometimes could bring you tons of laughter than worrying-ness. And so is today. So which party is Karpal from? 'I'm not sure' and that is what the Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) reporter, Eliani told when questioned by the examining lawyer Jagdeep Singh Deo.

For someone around their 20s, do you think its a very ridiculous answer and of all she is a RTM reporter. Aren't they supposed to be like better than the rest of the reporters out there. Oh i forgot quota. But still me nor many other fellow Malaysians would feel this being the comedy of the week. So with so much knowledge she acquires, do you she's fit for the job? Think again Barisan, dont just do blind employment. There are more deserving people out there.

Zune HD, No Camera AH?

So Microsoft has announced its much rumored Zune HD along with its specs which is believed to be launched somewhere around September 15. What is surprising me is the absence of a camera. While a good source in Cult Of Mac has cited that the upcoming Ipod Touch is to have a camera, its direct competition the Zune HD does not have any sign of a camera. What is this man? With the prices being almost similar i think i'd go for the Ipod for its hype and yes the camera and hopefully its ability to record high def videos like the new Iphone 3GS. Time for a poll i think..

Buncha Indians Prawn Fishing

So exactly last saturday a bunch of us indian cousins went for this old man crazed prawn fishing. Actually we escorted birthday boy Mr.LHDN also escorting was sis blogger to his cost saving prawn hunt that he claims is cheaper if compared to buying the same amount of prawns from the market. Nothing much to do i used the power of Carl Zeiss to get a memorabilia. And following are shots from it. I have to admit one thing though, the prawn tasted really sweet!! But for Rm30 for 2 hours of Prawning, i'd rather go to Mentari court for its famous buffet steamboat and eat varieties. A healthy sport you say this? Never. Adding calorie? Yeah. That is if snacking on kuaci and fruit juice..

The End of Synergy Regular

Well so as the weekly routine, i set to the petrol station nearby my place to fill the gas. As always i use the Synergy Regular Ron 92 since my car only requires Ron 91. And so as i parked my car, i noticed the nozzle for Synergy Regular was locked. So i asked the cashier, 'lain pam ada-kah?'. and he was like 'semua regular habis'. Disappointed i drove to the nest nearest Mobil station to findout that Ron 92 has also finished there too. Well i did not ask anyone there, to maintain so macho-ness. But this station was kind enough to let us know that it has ran out by sticking papers right in front.

Choiceless, i proceeded with Ron 97 and hoped for the Ron 95 to hit real soon to my place as i do not want to spend a lil more which i could use it for something better. So people all i want to say is, Right now Shell and Petronas is offering Ron 95 at only 1 station each or maybe 2, hopefully other stations too follow suit A.S.A.P to make us all happy. And have a good night all. Till then..

No Internet Filter For Malaysia

Our New 1Pm yesterday was quick to react regarding the internet censorship by Dr. Rais saying it will not be happening due to the censorship causing dissatisfaction amongst us Rakyat.

Well that was a good move by 'the man', but i do suspect that internet filtering could be applied to porno sites 'to protect children from online smut', as said by Dr. Rais.

But this question arose in my mind, you block porn its fine and good, but who is going to stop 'the masa depan 1M' from recording '3gp gersang' and circulating them via bluetooth and mms. I've even heard of them comrades having a dedicated memory card for this saucy actions and later on sharing them amongst them for a no-pay-many-view.

May God Bless Us All.

Oh and if anyone noticed the date yesterday was 07/08/09. How beautiful. Hitz.fm was going gaga over this date that made JJ and Ean all enthusiastic that morning.

Malaysia To Have Internet Filter

So this coming from Reuters and i've also read from The Star that our loving nation is planning for an internet censorship. So what this is gonna do? Most sites, starting with explicit ones and going on to the radical fellow comrades' site are potentially to be blocked.

Why is this i might say, is because due to the heavy control of media, we the people of 1Malaysia has opted for the internet to acquire the 'real' truths of the governing and also opposing parties, black secrets that are too bitter, wide spread rallies that reached the world media all thanks in a way to THE INTERNET.

So if this is going to fall through, we are potentially becoming the next china in internet security and exorcism is probably to happen like in North Korea.

Following are the excerpts from Reuters:

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 6 (Reuters) - Malaysia is considering setting up an Internet filter, similar to China's delayed "Green Dam" project, in a move the opposition said would stifle dissent and industry officials warned would hit investment.

News of the proposal emerged within days of police arresting nearly 600 opposition supporters at a weekend rally denouncing the government that has ruled for 51 years.

A vibrant Internet culture has contributed to political challenges facing the government, which tightly controls mainstream media and has used sedition laws and imprisonment without trial to prosecute a leading blogger.

"They (the government) are looking to tweak the technical and legal details of implementing this Internet filter, setting the stage for its implementation late this year or next year," the source, who declined to be identified, told Reuters.

No one from the government, which aims to double household broadband penetration to 50 percent by the end of next year, was available for comment.

"Submissions are to be handed in by July or August. About four groups have tendered for this project," said the source who had direct knowledge of the tender.
